Lagoon

June 15 we went to Lagoon for ATK Launch Systems Day. We are able to go for a greatly discounted price that includes a big meal. The kids have been looking forward to Lagoon Day as much as they look forward to Christmas. For a week or two all we have heard about is how much fun we are going to have and how many days we have to wait before we go.

--Eric and the kids wore bright orange shirts at my request. I wore the closest thing to bright orange that I owned. I wanted us to be visible for the kids. We were not the only family with this idea. I saw lots of families in bright orange and other vibrant colored T-shirts.
-- The very first ride of the Day -- Laura and I rode on the Rocket and Laura sat right up front. This picture doesn't show Laura's face in as much detail as I'd like but I think you get the basic idea. Man can she scream!!
--Scott, Laura, and I rode the Sky Ride at Scott's request just for the fun of it. When Scott looked down, he did not think it was as fun as he originally thought it would be. Now that his feet are on the ground he talks about how fun it was.
--Grace and Scott on the Boat Ride in Kiddieland. This was the only ride Grace enjoyed. Scott showed her how to ring the bell. She loved ringing the bell. Later she wanted to ride it again but, when she realized Scott would not be there she backed out.

--Grace did okay on the train ride, not as well as we thought, but okay. The train took us past tigers, lions, lamas, camels, and more. Laura and Scott loved it.

We rode the train twice.

Scott and Laura loved this spinning twirling ride. You never would have known how much fun Scott was having if you had seen his face and heard his screams! I thought he was going to loose it and start bawling. As soon as he got off he asked "can we go again?! We saved the Farris Wheel and the carousel rides for last. They feel so much more magical at night with all their lights on.

Laura and Scott in line for a second go on the carousel. One last ride before we headed home about 10:30 pm. Boy were Mom and Dad ready for bed!

Thanks for posting this! It's really neat to see the pics and get news about stuff.
